  1. 1.       Profile

JKW5C Reactive Power Factor Auto-compensation Controller is a special auxiliary product for low voltage electronics energy conservation systems; it can be equipped with different modes of capacitor distributing system. It concentrates the latest techniques in the world on one body, with the excellent advantages of light, delicacy, and good appearance as well as its complete range of functions, rather strong anti-interference ability, stable & reliable operation and accurate compensation, so it is the preferred products of electronics energy conservation systems. 

 

  1. 2.       Main Features

A)     Owns rather strong anti-interference ability & stable and reliable operation because of adopting advanced microcomputer controlling chips.

B)     It is very convenience to adjust the power factor, delay time, over-voltage protection, channel of controlling, current mutual inductor ratio, capacitance of capacitor and rated voltage parameter through the operation manual keys.

C)     With LED display function, it is easily to display line power factor, current mutual inductor’s current, line voltage, gross power, reactive power and active power date in the screen.

D)     All the preset parameter still in storage memory in case of abrupt power broken, and the control can run automatically once the power is switched on.

E)     Automatically identifying & changing the pole of current, it does good help to debugging & operation.

F)      LED light will display the line voltage in case of over-voltage, and cut off the connection of power capacitor bank & controller.

G)     The controller can’t compensate automatically when the line voltage between the value of Over-voltage protection value and Over-voltage protection value-6V.

H)     With the advantage of adopting circle threshold-cutting and manual operation style, it can be used in different installation circumstances.

A)     Altitude not higher than 2000 M.

B)     Ambient temperature –10℃~+40℃,the average temperature not more than 35℃.

C)     Ambient humidity ≤85% at 25℃.

D)     No corrosive gas, inductive dust, inflammable and explosive media around the ambient environment.

E)     The installation position should avoid violent vibration.

F)      The line voltage’s fluctuation range should lower & higher 10% than the controller rated voltage.

Overall dimension as follows:

JKW5C: 144X144 MM, Embed depth 144mm, Holing dimension 138X138 mm

There are assembling holes at the side of controller, the controller equipped with fastening parts accordingly. When install the controller, put the fastening elements into the holes firstly, and then fasten the screws of parts.

  1. 7.       Panel Key Instruction

Press this key to increase the parameter under Preset Mode, to throw-in capacitor bank under Manual mode.

Press this key to decrease the parameter under Preset Mode, to throw-out capacitor bank under Manual mode.


  1. 8. Parameter Preset and Debug

The wire connection must according to the indication; the system will enter into Auto Mode condition when switched on the power. When the current of current mutual inductor is over 100 MA, system will display line power factor. It is necessary to preset system parameter according to capacitor distributor case circumstance before using. The detailed operating method as follows:

 

A)     Press Mode Selection key, Preset LED indicating light brighten, Auto LED indicating light darken, the green LED indicating light displays ‘1’, three red LED indicating lights display preset target power factor, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

B)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘2’, three red LED indicating lights display preset time delay value, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

C)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘3’, three red LED indicating lights display preset over-voltage protection value, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter. 

 

D)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘4’, three red LED indicating lights display preset capacitor bank value, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

E)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘5’, three red LED indicating lights display current mutual inductor ratio value, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter. For example, if mutual inductor ratio is 500/5, the parameter should adjust to be 100.

 

F)      Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘6’, three red LED indicating lights display current capacitor value (kvar), then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

G)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘7’, three red LED indicating lights display current rated voltage of capacitor, then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘   ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

H)     Press Mode Selection key, the green LED indicating light displays ‘8’, three red LED indicating lights display current preset short-current blocking value , then press Increase key‘   ’ or Decrease key‘  ’to adjust the relative parameter.

 

If some of parameters needn’t to be adjusted, then turn to next item parameter. The preset LED indicating light is always lighting during the whole parameter presetting process.

If the system without any actions against the operation key under the condition of preset mode within 10 seconds, the system will turn to Auto-mode automatically.

After finishing parameter presetting, then press Mode Selection key, the Preset Mode LED indicating light darken, Manual Mode LED indicating light brighten, at this time, press increase key or decrease key to throw in or throw out capacitor bank.

Under the condition of Manual Mode, press Mode Selection key, Manual Mode LED indicating light darken, Auto-Mode LED indicating light brighten, the system turn to Auto-Mode operating condition.

Notice:

There are two methods to adjust the parameter, one method is to press increase key or decrease key tightly to adjust the parameter quickly; and the other method is to press the increase key or decrease key, when the parameter is adjusted, then release the key immediately, this is a slow method of adjusting the parameter. Usually, using the first method to adjust parameter in case of the parameter is much different from the target parameter, otherwise using the second method to adjust the parameter. If using the second method to adjust the parameter, the break time of the previous operating time and afterward operating time should over 1 second.

Usually we adopt dot pressing to operate the key, that means press the key to operate and release the key after finish, after finishing one step, then turn to next step, the break time between two operation process should over 1 second.

 

  1. 9.       Select Parameter under Auto-Mode Condition

Under the condition of Auto-Mode, the user’s required target parameter can be displayed in the screen, the user just to select Data Display key to display all the parameter. State of display as following list:
